LAS VEGAS, NM — Students at New Mexico Highlands University created a temporary projection installation for La Posada Hotel in Winslow, Ariz., that highlights the hotel’s rich railroad history.

During a weekend earlier this month, the Highlands University students in the Media Arts and Technology Department designed a montage of typography and maps, historical photos and modern animation, which they projected upon the façade of La Posada Hotel after dark. Read More

DPU Seeks Volunteers For Conservation Committee

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will be updating its energy and water conservation plan this year to meet state and federal requirements.

As part of this process, DPU is inviting customers to volunteer to participate in a committee to develop conservation initiatives to recommend to the Board of Public Utilities.

Our dog Poncho came to us as a six month old puppy from the shelter in Santa Fe.

His eyes locked onto mine as he sat wagging his tail, and the deal was made. He kept his side of the bargain: watching over the chickens, chasing crows out of the yard, and eating no more than he needed — until one day when we came home to find him acting very guilty.

Play With Clay At Fuller Lodge Beginning Jan. 31

Donald L. Zickert, 83, of Los Alamos, NM, passed away Jan. 14, 2020.

He left behind his wife of 63 years, Harriett; along with their three children, Gwen, Janet (husband Paul) and Kenneth (wife Elaine); three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
