Letter To The Editor: County Snow Removal Crews Deserve Our Thanks And A Raise

I write to express my appreciation to county snow removal crews.

This season, they have worked both Thanksgiving and Christmas, and now they’re working again overnight. It is hard work, the hours are bad, and it takes a lot of time and expertise.

I am currently sitting in my pleasant living room while the snow stays comfortably outside.

I think it is important for citizens to keep in mind that the reason they are warm and safe at home is other human beings. There are lots of people performing essential labor that’s easy to forget about when done right.

Northern Host Community Celebration Honoring MLK

Putting Lipstick on a Pig doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a Pig. No matter how you name it, it is still a “Red Flag Law” and it’s pure garbage legislation at its worst!

The Plan 4 jazz quartet performs 7-10 p.m., Saturday at Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op at 163 Central Park Square in Los Alamos.

The Plan 4 jazz quartet plays a range from jazz standards to contemporary compositions, arrangements and interpretations.

Topper Boys Basketball Seriously Challenge Chargers

The Topper Boys Basketball team traveled Tuesday night to Albuquerque to play the Academy Chargers. The Chargers are ranked the number one team in New Mexico and the Toppers had upset on their minds as the defense held the Chargers to 23 points in the first half and went to the locker room with the lead in the game 24-23. The offense played even with the Chargers until the closing minutes of the contest when the Chargers made several free throws to win the game 55-50. The Toppers continue to show improvement.
