Hill Diner and the adjacent building that housed Magistrate Court have sold to a Santa Fe investment group.

The combined property at 1315 and 1319 Trinity Dr. was listed at $549,900 for the two buildings on 0.676 acres; the final sale price has not been disclosed.

Non-Potable Pipeline Project Begins On Arizona Street

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities’ contractor H.O. Construction, Inc., will commence work on Arizona Avenue this week as part of the Non-Potable Pipeline Project. 

Residents on Arizona should expect to see placement of traffic control devices as well as crews locating existing utilities through “pot-hole” excavation and utility locate paint in the public right of way. 

In the following weeks crews will begin trenching and placing pipe beginning at the east end of Arizona Avenue near Pajarito School and moving west. Some traffic delays may be expected.  Read More

Crash On Central Blamed On Morning Sunshine

Both drivers involved in a crash shortly before 8 a.m. this morning told police they were impaired by the bright sun as they drove near the newly named Atomic City Hotel on Central Avenue. The driver of the pickup sustained just minor injuries despite the substantial damage to his small truck that collided with a caterpillar tractor. School Begins Thursday And Los Alamos Police Remind Motorists To Be Careful

The Los Alamos Police Department wants to remind motorists to slow down, drive safely, and drive defensively as the school year begins this week. 

Los Alamos Police officers will be providing extra patrols in school zones to ensure safety around each school.
