Both drivers involved in a crash shortly before 8 a.m. this morning told police they were impaired by the bright sun as they drove near the newly named Atomic City Hotel on Central Avenue. The driver of the pickup sustained just minor injuries despite the substantial damage to his small truck that collided with a caterpillar tractor. Police told the Los Alamos Daily Post that after inspecting the crash site, neither driver was issued a traffic citation. Photo by Greg Kendall
