FBI: Three Arrested In Red River Bank Robbery

FBI News:
 
Three people have been arrested by the FBI in connection with the Oct. 6 robbery of Peoples Bank in Red River.
 
Troy Montoya, 23, of Espanola; Jennifer Marissa Miera, 22, of El Rito and Shawn Michael Goodrum, Jr., 19, of Questa are scheduled to appear Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.
 
The Red River Marshals Office and Taos County Sheriff’s Office arrested Montoya and Miera Monday and turned them over Tuesday to the FBI.
 
The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

A group of concerned Democratic Party of New Mexico State Central Committee members delivered a petition Oct. 8 to the Democratic Party of New Mexico State Vice-Chair Juan Sanchez asking for the removal of State Chairwoman Debra Haaland.

The petition was delivered at the party’s Rising Star Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Albuquerque.

Scenes From Three Car-Collision On Trinity

Police cited the driver of this GM Emulsion LLC truck from Santa Fe for following too close after it ran into the back of a car and pushed it into the back of another car around 5 p.m. Thursday on Trinity Drive. Police had to tow the damaged truck to an adjacent parking lot. The second annual report from the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) compiles information that would otherwise remain buried deep within thousands of pages of annual audits. No More Ignitions Planned Today On Santa Fe Watershed Prescribed Burn

SANTA FE  Based on smoke impacts to the City of Santa Fe and data on air quality, the Santa Fe National Forest decided today to conclude the prescribed burn in the Santa Fe Municipal Watershed. 
 
Fire crews used hand and aerial ignitions on Wednesday and Tuesday to burn approximately 1,785 acres of the 2,435-acre planning area. Forecasted afternoon and evening winds did not materialize as expected, and an inversion kept smoke over the city. Air quality monitors on Upper Canyon Road and at the state’s Harold L. Letter To The Editor: Regarding Sheriff’s Lawsuit

The election on Question 1 (Sheriff elimination) will not be stopped and the result will be valid. A careful reading of the complaint for declaratory judgment and injunction filed against the county and the “Los Alamos Board of Commissioners (sic)” reveals it is full of technical defects and substantive omissions and errors.
 
It displays an appalling lack of information about the constitutional and statutory background of Los Alamos County, its charter, the institution of sheriff and our police department.
