Girlfriend Judy Bentley and I traveled to Ruidoso a few weekends ago for recreation, and I was reminded on our way out of town that one of my favorite bakeries in all of New Mexico is there: Cornerstone Bakery, on Sudderth Drive, the main street through the Village.
 
All of their baked goods are scrumptious; over the years of traveling occasionally to Ruidoso for work, what I found myself packing back to Los Alamos to share with the family were the “Cappuccino Muffins.”

Atomic City Transit Adding ADA Paratransit Service

COUNTY News:

Atomic City Transit will be adding ADA complementary paratransit service to its mix of transportation offerings.

The new service, which will operate under the name “ACT Assist,” has a targeted start date of Jan. 25, 2016 and will provide transit service to individuals with disabilities that is comparable to the level of service provided to individuals without disabilities on the regular bus system.

Live Nativity At United Church Christmas Eve

The United Church is planning a living Nativity 5-8 p.m., Christmas Eve in the parking lot west of the Church at 2525 Canyon Road, across Canyon Road from the Aquatics Center.

The nativity will be held between a family service at 4 p.m. and a candlelight service at 11 p.m. and the public is invited to attend and interact with the Living Nativity, greet the Holy Family, shepherds and kings and pet the stable animals.
