We went to the County Code Enforcement presentation last Thursday at UNM-LA sponsored by the local Republican Party because we had recently received a notice from the county. Our garden is big, so we thought it might be a good idea to see what didn’t comply to county standards. It is easier to move “offensive” plants now when they are getting ready for their winter slumber. At least I think it is – my son has the green thumb.let

LAPD Makes Drug Arrest Friday

Victoria Espinoza of White Rock was arrested Friday afternoon on an arrest warrant issued by Los Alamos Magistrate Court Judge Pat Casados.

Espinoza was charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession of heroin; selling, disposing, possessing dangerous drugs; possession of marijuana; and two counts of drug paraphernalia for possessing 53 hypodermic needles and a broken glass methamphetamine pipe.

Temporary Lane; Sidewalk Closures On Trinity Drive

As part of 20th Street Extension Project, construction crews will be performing paving operations next week on 20th Street at the intersection of Trinity Drive.

This work requires temporary lane and sidewalk closures on Trinity Drive near 20th Street, scheduled as follows, weather permitting:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 10, eastbound right lane.

County Manager Shares Code Enforcement Data

In preparation for that discussion, Council requested that County staff provide detailed information regarding its efforts during the past several months – in order that the conversation next week can be based on the best data.
