Gloria Baca, who volunteers at Sombrillo Nursing Home, participated in the Los Alamos Volunteer Association’s (LAVA) volunteer appreciation party Friday afternoon at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. Particpiants were served ice cream floats and treated to music performed by Eddy and the Nomads. National Day Of Prayer To Be Held May 4 at Ashley Pond

Bible-based believers in Jesus Christ will gather for prayer and worship on the Annual National Day of Prayer 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday at the Ashley Pond Pavilion.
This year marks the 66th observance of the National Day of Prayer. The theme, based on Daniel 9:19, is “For Your Great Name’s Sake!”
