Gloria Baca, who volunteers at Sombrillo Nursing Home, participated in the Los Alamos Volunteer Association’s (LAVA) volunteer appreciation party Friday afternoon at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. Particpiants were served ice cream floats and treated to music performed by Eddy and the Nomads. LAVA has 503 volunteers in its program and more than 100 volunteers were expected to attend the festivities Friday.
