Deputy Manager Steve Lynne and Budget and Performance Manager Karen Kendall discuss non-departmental budget items with the Los Alamos County Council Tuesday night. The Council tentatively approved non departmental items including the capital improvement project (CIP) fund and permanent fund. To clarify the state of the CIP fund, Councilor Chris Chandler confirmed with Deputy Manager Steve Lynne that if the proposed recreation bond question is passed, the CIP fund will have $11 million in it by the end of this year and is expected to have an additional $2.4 million added by 2019 from funds transfered from the permanent fund to the CIP fund. Lynne said yes and told the Los Alamos Daily Post that this transfer is routine. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
