I am frustrated by our government’s (federal, state, and local) lack of leadership on dealing with the communication of the scientific reality of this pandemic.

I see on TV media hour by hour tabulation of numbers infected and numbers of deaths. I’ve watched Federal and State governmental representatives declaring we are on top of the virus by showing the infection rate going down in certain states.

New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 133 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County remains at 6 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes 7 additional deaths reported in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:

DPU Tree Trimming Contractor Responding To Hazardous Conditions Observed In Town Site Or White Rock

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities officials remind customers to report any observations of trees, tree branches or other vegetation interfering with overhead power lines. 

During the COVID-19 public health emergency, the department instructed its contractor, Allied Trees, to focus on clearing trees and branches from utility lines in the canyons and county open spaces.
