Traffic Alert: NM Gas Company Purging Gas On East Road

Traffic Alert:

New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC) has informed the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities that it will purge a natural gas line, weather permitting, today on East Road across from Camino Entrada near the water tank.

Work was to begin at noon and continue until 1 p.m. today.

NMGC is purging the line on East Road as a routine maintenance check of its border station. “Purging” is the act of releasing natural gas from an existing section of pipeline and will be done in accordance with federal regulatory requirements.

RTD Blue Bus Resuming Regular Routes Monday June 8

In an effort to begin to ease some of the modifications that were put in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Central Regional Transit District’s (RTD) Blue Bus will resume regular route and schedule operations on its 100 Riverside and 110 Westside buses in Española and 340 Chile Line Red in Taos beginning Monday, June 8.

Traffic Alert: Concrete Repair On Urban/North Road Tuesday

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division will begin concrete repair work Tuesday, June 2 on Urban Street and North Road. Crews will be removing and replacing curb & gutter and sidewalk in select locations.

Crews will be working 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Weather permitting, work should be completed by mid-June.

The contractor will set up a traffic control to allow for the flow of traffic. Vehicle traffic is urged to slow down and obey all traffic control devices.
