New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence (NMPGV) and the Santa Fe Police Department will mark the ninth statewide gun buyback 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 29.
 
Gift cards for food and gas will be given in exchange for unwanted working firearms, $100 for pistols and long guns, $200 for semi-automatic hand guns and $250 for assault weapons.
 
Guns will later be dismantled and forged into gardening tools by Brazilian blacksmith Tiago Torres Da Silva.
