NMDOT Installing New Stop Signs in Espanola

NMDOT News :

The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have additional stop signs installed at two “T” intersections on N.M. 369 in the City of Espanola by Aug. 24.

The additional stop signs will help to improve traffic safety at the intersection of Middle San Pedro Road and Upper San Pedro Road, and the intersection of Middle San Pedro Road and Lower San Pedro Road. 

Currently, there is only one stop sign at each “T” intersection.

The installation of the new stop signs means that traffic coming from all directions must now stop.

CodeRed Mobile Alert App Now Available

COUNTY News:

An upgraded version of the CodeRED Mobile Alert app is now available as a free download for both iPhone and Android smartphones.

With this upgrade, CodeRED Mobile Alert subscribers may now view weather alerts for the entire country, with previous access limited to a 500-mile radius.

CodeRED is the notification system used by Los Alamos County to alert residents to local emergencies.

Police Halt Jail Fight This Morning

LAPD News:

A fight between inmates broke out this morning at the Los Alamos County Detention Center.

Police officers stepped in and stopped the fight quickly.

Los Alamos Fire Department EMTs were called to the scene and are transporting this 24-year-old inmate to the Los Alamos Medical Center as a precaution.

Medic 3 considers this a non-emergency transport.

The cause of the fight is not readily known.
