Los Alamos Veterinarian Dr. Bob Fuselier changed the life of a man he never met when he gave him his left kidney earlier this year. The man had been on daily dialysis for more than five years.

I open sadly by expressing my sincerest condolences to the Vance Hatler family. Our community has lost an honorable native son, who was a loving husband to Karri and a father to four beautiful children. I am especially saddened as Vance was proving himself a capable budding leader in his work environment at the Laboratory. UNM-Los Alamos will offer a Personal Care Attendant course beginning Oct. 3.
 
The course, PCA 101, will meet 9:15-11:15 a.m., Mondays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fridays, through Dec. 16. Students who participate in this 5 credit course will receive a UNM-LA Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the skills and competencies at the end of the course.
