Bikers & Lap Dogs At White Rock Time Out Pizza Today

COMMUNITY News:

Some 50-100 bikers and plenty of lap dogs will be at Time Out Pizza in White Rock at about 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. today as part of Ride & Roll for Rescue to benefit Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico.

The bikers will roll out of the Santa Fe Harley Dealership and stop at four locations in the area before heading to Time Out Pizza in White Rock on N.M. 4.

The lap dogs available for adoption are rescues and have been living in foster homes.

Noted historian and broadcaster David King Dunaway will speak at Mesa Public Library at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24 in the Upstairs Rotunda. His talk is entitled Force and Violins.

Annual Car Show At Smith’s Marketplace Saturday

The Los Alamos Auto Club presents the 2nd annual Car Show Saturday at Smith’s Marketplace.

Corvettes, hot rods, muscle cars, classics, exotics, motorcycles and general car enthusiast are invited to participate at the new Smith’s Marketplace to show off their unique rides.

Staging cars begin at 8 a.m., the Car Show runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a raffle for all Car Show participants.

Two-time Grammy-winning singer and master songwriter Jim Lauderdale is both a “songwriter’s songwriter,” who’s written/co-written many modern classics for iconic artists, as well as an intuitive sideman, who’s enhanced the music of a bevy of esteemed musicians.
