The LAHS Girl’s Golf team played their first tournament of the year at the Fall Taos High Invitational. 
 
The Toppers, led by freshman Leah Mountain, won the tournament with a 399. Leah shot a 90 for second place in the girl’s individual competition. Jessica Osden finished with a 91 for the Toppers which was good for 3rd place individual. Both Leah and Jessica meet their 1st of 3 legs to qualify for the State tournament to be held in May 2017. 
 
Up next for the Toppers is their two home tournaments September 19 and 20 at the Los Alamos Golf course. There will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start for both tournaments.
