Home Renewal Program Cycle 1 & 2 Update

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County’s Community Development Department and the Los Alamos Housing Partnership (LAHP) provided an update today on the Home Renewal Program, including close out of construction projects completed in the first cycle, and financial assistance awards being offered for those who applied and were eligible for the second cycle.

Residents who meet low-income qualifications and require financial assistance to make repairs or improvements are eligible to apply for this subsidized loan program. Homeowners are not required to make payments until the home is sold or vacated. Read More

Work Is Underway For Small Business Saturday

CHAMBER News:

It takes a lot of time and effort to plan for the holidays. That’s why the Small Business Saturday Committee has already started working on the biggest holiday shopping day of the year – the Saturday after Thanksgiving – which is Nov. 25 this year.

In September, the Karen Wray Gallery is offering two beginning art classes; oil painting and watercolors. The classes take place in the gallery at 1247 Central Ave., Suite D-2, in Los Alamos.

Several of Wray’s students have their work now featured in the gallery.
