SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) in partnership with Santa Fe County and the New Mexico Department of Workforce Connections announce applications are open for a free training bootcamp to become a certified fiber optics technician.

Qualified applicants will get up to 80 hours paid internships.

County: Last Day To Challenge FCC Broadband Maps

Today, Friday, Jan. 13, is the last day for citizens to challenge any inaccuracies on the broadband map issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The pre-production draft maps, published by the FCC on Nov. 18, 2022, show the availability of high-speed Internet service across the nation based on data that the FCC acknowledges may not be the most accurate, according to its website

CSD To Host Public Meetings On Integrated Master Plan

Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) will be hosting three public meetings Jan. 25 and 26 to share the results from the development of the new Community Services Integrated Master Plan (IMP).

Berry Dunn, the professional consulting service that assisted in the development of the IMP will be onsite to present the recommended action plan and answer any questions.

County: Hazard Branches To Be Trimmed Beginning Jan.17
