Ever wonder what it would be like to voyage through the galaxies in search of black holes? Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s (PEEC’s) new planetarium film, Black Holes, explores a place where time stands still, universal order breaks down, and the the unimaginable becomes reality.

This family-friendly film will play in the Los Alamos Nature Center planetariumat 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24.

This one comes from a 1976 flick, The Pink Panther Strikes Again. Inspector Clouseau checks into a Swiss hotel, then sees a dog sitting on the floor. He asks the clerk, “Does your dog bite?” The clerk responds in the negative. Clouseau reaches down to pet the dog, and the dog viciously attacks his gloved hand!

Marian Alice (McKeirnan) Honsinger, Age (76), of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loving family on July 15, 2016 after a short battle with septicemia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Isabel (Graham) McKeirnan, and her siblings Patricia, Bob, Jean and Mike. Alert: Temporary Glitch In 911 Phone Lines At Los Alamos Police Department’s Dispatch Center

UPDATE: LAPD’s Dispatch Center 911 phone lines are now working properly again.

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department’s Dispatch Center is reporting that its 911 phone lines are not operating properly.

Phone calls coming in on 911 are forwarding to Santa Fe’s police dispatch center as an interim solution, and Santa Fe dispatch is then working the calls made to 911 back to LAPD dispatch using cell phones to relay information.

Phone technicians are on their way to the Dispatch Center to try and resolve the issue and Century Link is also investigating the phone line. Radio transmissions Read More
