Pat Archuleta has recently moved her nail salon, It’s All About You, to a new location at 464 Central, Suite 1 (across from the former Hilltop House gas station). She’s very happy with her new location.
“I love it here,” Archuleta said.
The new salon space has two large rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. A former first floor apartment, the salon has a homey feel and a great view.
Archuleta currently works alone in her salon but she hopes to team up with another business owner, perhaps a masseuse. “I think that business would go well with the quiet, serene atmosphere of my business,” she said.
Also, Archuleta hopes to display jewelry and handmade clothing, and perhaps other art. She is a jeweler herself and her work is currently on display at the salon. “I have many loyal clients who have been with me for years,” Archuleta said.
She’s been doing nails for around 18 years, the last 12 in Los Alamos.
“Los Alamos is the best place in the world to be,” Archuleta said. “I love it!”
Archuleta said being near her grandchildren is what brought her to Los Alamos. She’s a native New Mexican who grew up in Clayton. It was her love of color that attracted Archuleta to her career. “I like working with clients in a salon atmosphere,” she said. “I love making women feel good and look beautiful!”
Archuleta offers manicures, pedicures with traditional and gel polish. It’s All About You is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday by appointment. If it’s a special occasion or someone can only come at night or on a weekend, Archuleta said she is willing to work to find a workable time.
