CNF News:

TAOS — The Carson National Forest (CNF) will implement Stage 3 Restrictions over most of the forest, effective 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 27.

Effectively immediately, the Camino Real Ranger District is closed. This immediate closure of the Camino Real District is strictly precautionary, the Sardinas Canyon Fire is not threatening structures nor is it expected to do so.

Jean Loretta (Waiter) Dabney was born January 5, 1920 and went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2017.

Jean was raised on a farm in Michigan and moved to Chicago to work for Zenith Radio just before WWII started. Jean served in the Army as a WAC in Los Alamos during WWII where she met her husband, Winston Dabney. They remained in Los Alamos for over 60 years, where they raised their family and worked for LANL.

ALBUQUERQUE Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas issued a new Scam Alert urging consumers to beware of scammers impersonating elected officials, particularly in online messages.
 
The alert is issued in response to a complaint received by the Attorney General from Sen. Martin Heinrich. In this instance, a consumer received messages via Facebook Messenger that appeared to be sent by Heinrich, soliciting consumer information, in exchange for a bogus grant, even though the senator had nothing to do with the texts.
