JEAN LORETTA (WAITER) DABNEY Jan. 5, 1920 – Aug. 19, 2017

Jean Loretta (Waiter) Dabney was born January 5, 1920 and went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2017.

Jean was raised on a farm in Michigan and moved to Chicago to work for Zenith Radio just before WWII started. Jean served in the Army as a WAC in Los Alamos during WWII where she met her husband, Winston Dabney. They remained in Los Alamos for over 60 years, where they raised their family and worked for LANL.

In their golden years they moved to Casa Grande, AZ to enjoy the year round hot weather. Jean was a former Los Alamos County Clerk and also volunteered at Los Alamos Medical Center.

She is predeceased by her husband and eleven siblings. She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Richard) Rokosz, Nancy (Barry) Smith both of AZ, and her son Jimmy (Theresa) Dabney of Georgia, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 11 am and inurnment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:30 pm on July 2, 2018.
