Linnea Sarwinski, age 89, died peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2018. She was born May 28, 1928 in Genoa, Nebraska, to John and Emma Swanson. She is survived by her children, Greg (Georgia), Anna (Tom), Lisa (Rex), Anita (Dave) and George, as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her sister, Sylvia Patrick, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George and grandson, Bobby as well as her two brothers, Ollie and Nils.

Frederick Brendon Williams passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 85.

He was born to Arthur and Annie Williams on October 23, 1932 in Washington DC.  He survived polio at age 13 then went on to serve in the army from 1951 to 1954 as a Staff Sergeant in Korea, earning four bronze stars by the age of 19.

Joe Ben Apodaca, born June 8^th 1923 in Santa Fe, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 10^th, 2018. 

Joe was known to his friends as “Hosa” (The Bear). Joe grew up in Santa Fe and was the oldest of 12 kids born to Celestino and Guadalupita Apodaca. He began working at age 6 selling newspapers on the street corner in front of his Uncle Frank’s convenience store. On February 6th, 2018, Cornett Philip Wood died peacefully at home after many years of battling leukemia. His wife dutifully took care of him until he died, surrounded by family and friends.

Dorothy Foss was born July 28,1923 in San Francisco. Dorothy died peacefully on February 16, 2018 at 6:05pm, at the age of 94.

Homer Dick Lewis, 91, a resident of White Rock, passed away in his home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margie Lewis, who passed in 2009.

Homer was born October 4, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky. He served in the United States Navy and then in the United States Air Force Reserve.

ROBERT C. PETRIE Feb. 11, 1928 – Jan. 17, 2018

Robert C. Petrie was born on February 11th, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to William and Hannah Petrie.

He served in the Air Force in Korea from 1950 to 1954 and went on to work at General Electric, later moving to Los Alamos, NM to work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

In 1974 he married Kathleen Thorwaldsen (1920 to 2009) and leaves behind a son, Steve and a Daughter, Kathy.
