PATRICIA M. BAQUETTE May 29, 1939 – Jan. 24, 2018

Patricia M. Bequette passed away January 24, 2018. Pat was born in Santa Fe, NM to John and Ida (Marie) Peckumn. They moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1949 where Pat attended Central School and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1957.

Pat remained in Los Alamos raising her family and serving the community in many ways. She truly enjoyed being with kids and was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader, was a member of the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse, and volunteered with various other organizations throughout the community.

Given her love for kids, sports, and Los Alamos, driving busses for Los Alamos Schools was a joyful and rewarding part of her life for 32 years until she retired in 2002. She also worked at the Los Alamos Ski Hill.

Pat is survived by her children Linda Bequette of Coahoma, Texas; Charla Wescott of Las Cruces, NM; daughter-in-law Gail Bequette of Albuquerque, NM; Bryan Bequette (Kelly) of Nebraska City, NE; Debra Dalton, Laura Hughes (Mark), and Diana Bequette all of Los Alamos, NM along with grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Pat was proceeded in death by her parents Marie and John Peckumn, son John Bequette and sons-in-law Cody Wescott, and James Dalton.

Pat’s services will be at Guaje Pines Cemetery, Los Alamos, NM on February 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
