Frederick Brendon Williams passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 85.

He was born to Arthur and Annie Williams on October 23, 1932 in Washington DC.  He survived polio at age 13 then went on to serve in the army from 1951 to 1954 as a Staff Sergeant in Korea, earning four bronze stars by the age of 19.

He spent time as a teacher and principal; created the Frederick Williams Reading System in 1989, which helped people improve their memory and reading skills; then went on to work as a clinical psychologist for three rehabilitation programs where he helped save many lives.

A Los Alamos resident for the past 30 years, he loved his town and always had time to chat with the people in it. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and even tried painting; remodeled his family home inside and out; had an amazing voice and sang professionally during his younger years in California and also at his LDS church in Los Alamos.

He is survived by his wife Peggy and six children, Darren, Terry, Kelly, Kim, Alyssa, and Brendon. He has 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

He was a strong, hardworking man and a loving husband and father. May he rest in peace and his voice be heard in heaven.

The Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 4:00 pm at the LDS Church, 1967 18th St., Los Alamos, NM.
