The Los Alamos Garden Club has chosen Los Alamos High School senior Talia Dreicer as the winner of the 2016 scholarship award. The award will be presented at the Honors Convocation May 24.

Dreicer will be attending Western Washington University in the fall to study Environmental Science. She is a talented Track and Cross Country athlete, achieving All State honors.

Homer the goose was misidentified in a Saturday photo bomb picture published in the Los Alamos Daily Post as Brownie ‘The King of Ashley Pond’.

Readers close to the large white goose contacted the Los Alamos Daily Post to express concern. The news team launched an investigation overnight and has determined that the goose in question is indeed Homer, who has been living at Ashley Pond Park for several years.
