Jacob Manuel Espinoza (Jake) of Houston, TX (formerly of Los Alamos) passed away on March 30, 2020 after a long illness.

Jake was preceded in death by his father Jacob Espinoza, mother, Bernadette Gonzales, stepfather Jack Gonzales and brother Kenneth Gonzales.

Virtual Egg Hunt Hosted By Freedom Church Los Alamos

With Easter coming up and egg hunts being cancelled let’s hunt eggs a different way. Freedom Church in Los Alamos is hosting “The Great Los Alamos Egg Hunt”, quarantine-style where kids and their families will decorate and display an egg of their own.

Eggs must be a minimum of 1 foot tall by 8 inches wide and can be colored, painted, made with paper, etc. Families will then hop into their cars to see how many eggs  they can find.

Los Alamos County continues to implement changes as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, County Manager Harry Burgess reported during the regular County Council meeting March 31.

The Los Alamos County Council meeting scheduled in Council Chambers at 6 p.m. today, April 7 will continue using a format that complies with the recent New Mexico Department of Health’s public health emergency order governing mass gatherings because of COVID-19.
