Los Alamos High School held its annual Commencement Ceremony at Griffith Gymnasium. Following the ceremony, graduates gathered with friends and family outside the gym for congratulations and pictures.

County Announces CIP Public Comment Process

LOS ALAMOS COUNTY COUNCIL News:



Los Alamos County has announced the process for CIP public comment for tonight’s (Wednesday, May 16) County Council meeting:



  1. Beginning at 5:45 p.m. (the meeting starts at 6 p.m.) anyone wishing to give comments should plan to line up in Chambers and draw a ticket (a number) out of a bowl. One ticket can be drawn per person. Members of the public may arrive earlier than 5:45 to get a seat in Chambers, but, should note that the drawing won’t begin until 5:45 p.m. – no early ticket distribution.

Planning and Zoning Approves Site Plan for Bandelier Shuttle Service Facility

The Los Alamos County Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a site plan for a shuttle service facility for shuttles to Bandelier National Monument. The shuttle service facility will be located at the corner of State Road 4 and Rover across the street from the White Rock Visitor’s Center and Conoco gas station, on what is now a vacant lot. Pancakes, Arts & Crafts this Saturday

The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 5th at the Betty Ehart Senior Center from 7 – 11 am.  Stop by for a delicious breakfast of eggs, sausage and pancakes before heading over to the lawn at Fuller Lodge for the Los Alamos Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Fair.  

The Los Alamos Arts Council has presented arts and crafts fairs in Los Alamos since 1967. The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos was founded in January 1948. It is the oldest service organization in Los Alamos.

Key Club Sponsors UNICEF Benefit

Special to the Los Alamos Daily Post by Katelyn Littleton, Concert Chair

Los Alamos High School Key Club is organizing a benefit concert for UNICEF’s Project Eliminate. In collaboration with Kiwanis and the rest of K-Family (including Key Club), UNICEF is hoping to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the world through this project.

The money raised through the concert will go directly to purchasing vaccines and the distribution of preventative health information.

Last night, Russ Gordon held a fundraiser concert at the Hilltop House to raise funds for the summer concert series. DK & the Affordables performance was followed by Eddy & the Nomads. The Los Alamos Concert Series is presented by the County of Los Alamos and coordinated / managed by Russ Gordon.
