Memorial Service:
A Memorial Service for Alice Brigham Waterman will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 11 at the United Church of Los Alamos, 2525 Canyon Road. A reception will follow in Graves Hall including a video of Waterman’s life.
Waterman, 94, passed peacefully from this life Dec. 4, with family by her side. She had struggled for eight months with declining health after breaking an ankle and being diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma.

The Dixie Girl Restaurant at 1789 Central Ave., is holding a contest during January to rename the restaurant. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate.
A randon drawing will be held in the event of multiple entries for the winning name. Pick up a “Name the Restuarant” form at the restaurant. The form also includes the patron’s three favorite and three least favorite menu items.
Watch for the restaurant’s new name and modified menu coming soon.
