New Mexico State Police Ofc. Toby LaFave reached a milestone Sept. 8 very few can say, he made his 100th DWI arrest of the year.

For those who know and work with Ofc. LaFave this appeared to be business as usual, given his previous accolades and work ethic. He has been with the New Mexico State Police for six years, with eight years’ experience prior, and in that relatively short time frame has amassed numerous awards and recognitions.

NM 502 Pavement Preservation Work … Totavi Gas Station To Cities Of Gold Casino Begins Wednesday

NMDOT News:

Lane Closures To Begin Sept. 20

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation work on N.M. 502 from milepost 8.50 to milepost 18.50, from the Totavi Gas Station to Cities of Gold Casino.

The contractor will be milling the existing asphalt and then follow with a heater scarification overlay process.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 20, N.M. 502 westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane for three weeks.

Motorists can expect delays Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be weekend work Saturday’s only. No work on Sunday.

Smoke Visible From Three Fires On SFNF

SANTA FE ― Three lightning-caused fires on the Santa Fe National Forest put up visible smoke Saturday as crews keep an eye on the Beaver Creek, Deer Creek and Ojitos Fires.

ALBUQUERQUE – This morning, Attorney General Hector Balderas issued a Scam Alert warning New Mexicans to protect themselves against callers attempting to use the recent security breach at Equifax to perpetrate a new kind of scam.
