FBI: Navajo Woman Sentenced To Prison

ALBUQUERQUE  Cornelia Tom Tapaha, 41, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation who resides in Shiprock, was sentenced June 6 in Santa Fe to 24 months in prison followed by two years of supervised release for her conviction on an assault charge.
 
Tapaha was arrested in June 2016, on an indictment charging her with assault with a dangerous weapon, a vehicle, and assault resulting in serious bodily injury. The indictment alleged that Tapaha committed the crimes July 8, 2015, on the Navajo Indian Reservation in San Juan County.

SANTA FE – Gov. Susana Martinez has announced that another of the state’s top 10 DWI fugitives, Senneca Antonio, was recently captured by the Farmington Police Department.

He is back behind bars on a parole violation. This was the second time that Antonio had fled supervision. He had been on the run since May 30 – just days after he was released on parole for his seventh or greater DWI offense.
