State Police Checkpoints And Saturation Patrols Across New Mexico Counties Throughout November

NMSP News:
 
State Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints; saturation patrols; and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of November 2017.
 
NMSP is bringing awareness to these events in an effort to reduce alcohol related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising. These checkpoints are helping to change society’s attitude about drinking and driving.

New Mexico Conference Of Churches Commemorates 500th Anniversary of Reformation

The New Mexico Conference of Churches (NMCC) has invited all residents of the state to attend a commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation 2:30-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29 at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Albuquerque.

The theme of the ecumenical vesper service of song and prayer is “One Body – Many Members, One Spirit, Many Gifts” and it will be followed by a community dialogue.

Bryce Avenue Church Hosts Free Halloween ‘Tack-and-Treat’ Oct. 31

Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church is hosting a free event on Halloween — “Tack-and-Treat” — 4:30-6:30 p.m., Oct. 3.

Trick-or-Treating children (and parents, too) can come by the church parking lot at 333 Brice Ave., in White Rock and “nail” Martin Luther’s 95 Discussion Points to the “church” door.

They also can play the “alms toss”. There will be a 5 minute “Playmobil” animated film that gives a fun overview of the start of the Protestant Reformation.
