SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 139 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County remains at 27 cases today that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update announces 2 additional deaths reported in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases: 

  • 31 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 15 new cases in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 7 new cases in Curry County
  • 20 new cases in Doña Ana County

U.S. Transportation Secretary Announces Approximately $1.2 Million To Eight Tribal Governments For COVID-19 Response

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced Friday approximately $1.2 million in recent grant awards to eight tribal governments, including the Tesuque Pueblo, Jicarilla Apache Nation and Pueblo of Pojoaque.

These awards are part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act signed by President Donald J. Trump March 27, 2020.
