By JOHN L. HORNE
Los Alamos

Dear friends of my son John and me,

I wish to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, loving kindness, and support following the passing of my son, John. Without your support I would have been lost.

From the very beginning Sheriff Marco Lucero and Chaplain Jennifer Bartram were at my side to console and support me while dealing with the shock and grief I was confronting.

My sincere gratitude to Los Alamos Sheriff, Marco Lucero; Rio Arriba and Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office; New Mexico Mounted Patrol; and Los Alamos Police Department Read More

Update: County Public Works Fix Broken Water Line

A little after 2 p.m. today, Los Alamos County workers were fixing a hydrant on 36th Street and Diamond Drive. A worker explained when the hydrant was fixed, water valves were re-opened to return water to residents; however, when one valve was turned back on, water started leaking. So the valve was turned off again and workers planned to dig up the valve to see what the problem is and fix it. Residents still have water in their homes, he said.
