State Auditor Wayne Johnson Visits Daily Post

New Mexico State Auditor Wayne Johnson visits Thursday afternoon with some of the news team at the Los Alamos Daily Post. Johnson discussed the importance for government agencies to have regular audits to catch potential non-compliance issues early. Johnson was appointed to the position in December 2017 and previously served as a Bernalillo County Commissioner. FBI: Three Charged In Isleta Murder

FBI News:
 
The FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Isleta Police Department took Richard Jojola Jr., 27, and Michael Anthony Abeita, 25, into custody Sept. 12, 2018, without incident in connection with an investigation into a Feb. 6, 2018, murder on the Isleta Pueblo.
 
A third suspect, Jason Kenneth Abeita, 32, was already being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
 
The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.

U.S. 84/285 Pojoaque Bridge & Ramp Closures Friday

NMDOH News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation continues pavement preservation work on U.S. 84/285 at mile marker 181.00 in Pojoaque near Cities of Gold Casino. 

The U.S. 84/285 Pojoaque Bridge will be CLOSED and the U.S. 84/285 on-ramp to N.M. 502 westbound will be CLOSED 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday. Traffic will be detoured to Cities of Gold Road.

The hotspot for trout this week appears to be the Canjilon Lakes once again. Once they opened back up to anglers Aug. 22 after being closed for several years, the lakes have been experiencing heavy fishing pressure. Anglers that I have spoken to tell of difficulty in finding a place to park and anglers lining the banks shoulder-to-shoulder.

ALBUQUERQUE Attorney General Hector Balderas, sued a group of tech companies Wednesday for illegally tracking children online.
 
The suit, filed against Google, Twitter, Tiny Lab Producions, MoPub, AerServ, InMobi PTE, AppLovin and IronSource, alleges the apps designed by Tiny Lab Productions and marketed by Google in its Play Store are targeted at children and contain illegal tracking software.
