Traffic Alert:

Star Paving will be closing the Tewa Loop entrance early Wednesday morning, May 20, and plans to re-open it by 4 p.m. the same day.

This closure is necessary for removal of the existing asphalt through the intersection to allow for the new full reconstruction work needed for the N.M. 502 Roundabout.

BLM Enacts Fire Restrictions In NM Effective Wednesday

SANTA FE – Due to increasing fire danger and to prevent human-caused ignitions, the Bureau of Land Management will implement fire restrictions on BLM-managed lands in New Mexico beginning 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. May 20.
Prohibitions include:
  • Use of campfires or charcoal;
  • Smoking outside of a vehicle, enclosed building, or areas free of flammable materials;
  • Fireworks and pyrotechnic devices;
  • Any type of aerial luminary; and
  • Off-highway vehicle (OHV) use except in designated OHV areas.
