By PAULA BARCLAY
RE/MAX of Los Alamos

People often ask me what are good investments to make in their home.

One of the fastest growing trends I’m seeing is the installation of ductless, mini-split heat pumps. They’re quick and easy to install, offer room-by-room temperature control, good air filtration and are very quiet. They’re also energy-efficient. Sauced Burritos

This is another of my “best intentions” recipes; I set out to make chicken enchiladas and wound up with chicken and vegetable burritos drenched in enchilada sauce. The homemade red chile (chile colorado) sauce is the only critical element of the dish; everything else can be changed or made simpler by shortcut. Do not be tempted to save time by using canned enchilada sauce; this homemade sauce can be made quickly with items typically found in a New Mexican pantry and it is well worth the effort. If you have the sauce already Read More

“It is impossible for that man to despair who remembers that his Helper is omnipotent.” –Jeremy Taylor

God had rescued the Israelites from Egypt. To do this, He inflicted plagues upon Egypt, He had parted the sea for the Israelites to pass through, He provided manna in the morning and quail in the evening for them to eat, and He brought water out of the rock for them to drink. God had saved the people and become their provider; and He did this in order to take them into a land that was “flowing with milk and honey.”

The land of Canaan was the land God planned to give the Israelites, Read More
