Betty’s Birthday Benefit Raises Funds For Senior Centers

The Betty’s Birthday Benefit raised $447.51 for the Los Alamos and White Rock senior centers. A grant through Los Alamos MainStreet helped the nonprofit promote the event. LARSO agreed that every penny raised would be spent at Los Alamos and White Rock businesses. Gifts for the birthday drawing were donated by Lisa Hudston, Florence Riebe and Aimee Kern Neu. Piñon Elementary End-Of-Year Parade May 27

LAPS News:

Piñon Elementary will host its End-of-Year parade at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 27.

The parade will feature Piñon staff, the Piñon Panther, members of the Los Alamos Police and Fire departments, the Hillstompers and LAPS school buses will participate.

Piñon families are invited to come outside and social distance along the parade route. Remember to wear a mask, and Piñon gear.

Show your Panther pride with signs and noisemakers. The parade will follow a route near the school. The parade will start and end in the Piñon parking lot.

The Los Alamos High School dance classes, under the direction of dance instructor Natasha Barkhudarova, invites the public to their Spring Dance Show at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 23.
