“Hunker Down” is a 20-minute radio-play Los Alamos playwright Robert F. Benjamin performs with Pat Beck and Jim Sicilian on KRSN Radio Friday.

While sheltering in place, a widow of a certain age grapples for connection with a curmudgeonly recluse in this upbeat romantic comedy during COVID times.

“My newest play for live performance at the local Senior Centers will not be performed there live anytime soon because of the COVID closure,” Benjamin said. “I adapted the script into a radio-play that will be aired by KRSN Friday in conjunction with ‘Betty’s Birthday Benefit’ at the Los Alamos Senior Centers.”

Performances on KRSN will follow a brief interview with Benjamin at 7:40 a.m. (the Morning Show) and again at 12:30 p.m. KRSN is at 1490 AM and 107.1 FM.
