New Mexico COVID-19 Cases Now At 13,727 With 4 New Deaths And 5,986 Patients Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 221 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County now at 11 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update announces 4 additional deaths reported in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:

  • 88 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 6 new cases in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 2 new cases in Curry County
  • 24 new cases in Doña Ana County
  • 3 new cases in Eddy County
  • 7 new cases in Lea County
  • 2 new cases in Los Alamos County

Councilors: I welcome the proposed study and rewrite of the Downtown Master Plan and Chapter 16. Both are in desperate need of revamping, however it is imperative that they be done with consideration of the desires and needs of the community, and that the shortcomings in the existing documents first be recognized and corrected.

Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office To Limit In-Person Services, As COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Continues

COUNTY CLERK News:

Due to growing COVID-19 concerns, and in continuing to align with directives from the Governor’s Office and Los Alamos County, County Clerk Naomi Maestas is taking proactive measures.

Beginning today, July 6 until further notice, the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office will suspend all in-person services and transactions. Customers may drop off items in the designated Drop-Box located outside the Clerk’s Office.

Staff will process Drop-Box items and be available to assist customers by phone and/or email 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m., Monday through
