Summer Interns, Graduate Students, And Young Adults—Welcome To Los Alamos!

Summer Mondays, the United Church invites summer interns, graduate students, and young adults to the action at the sand volleyball pit and picnic grounds on the corner of Central Avenue and Canyon Drive. Centrally located across from the Aquatic Center and Nature Center and trailheads, this is the place to meet and greet, enjoy a great meal, and play some volleyball. Los Alamos County Golf Course hosted a two-day tournament over the long Memorial Day weekend featuring a two person best ball net format.

Teen Center Invites Community Members To Bring Pets To Help Students De-Stress This Week

YMCA News:

The Family YMCA Los Alamos Teen Center is inviting community members to help support local teens during the upcoming End of Semester De-Stress Week by bringing friendly pets to visit the Teen Center from 1–5 p.m., this Wednesday and Thursday.

Each semester, the Teen Center hosts relaxing activities, food, and opportunities for teens to unwind during finals week. Visits from animals have consistently been one of the most popular and comforting parts of the program, giving students a chance to de-stress, socialize, and take a break from academic pressures.

Lab retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast social between the hours of 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. June 2 at Muy Salsas at 1315 Trinity Drive.
