Daily Postcard: Although a couple of weeks early for the Festival of Cranes at Bosque del Apache, a Saturday morning visit still reaped a number of breathtaking views. Get Ready For The Glow Factor Tonight!

Los Alamos Arts Council volunteers Sam Nasise and Sophia Salazar gut pumpkins during the carving party held this morning at the Smith’s Marketplace. The pumpkins were carved to be included in today’s Pumpkin Glow. The event will be held 6-9 p.m. at the Fuller Lodge lawn. The event is free but donations will be accepted. The Los Alamos Arts Council has held the event for 14 years. It has become a staple in the MainStreet’s Halloweekend festivities. This year, the event earned the Food Network magazine’s attention.
