The Isle Of Dogs Screens At Mesa Public Library April 4

The Isle of Dogs (2018, rated PG-13, 1 hr., 41 min.), written by Wes Anderson (along with Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman and Kunichi Nomura), directed by Wes Anderson and with voices by Bryan Cranston, Koyu Rankin and Edward Norton, will be shownApril 4 at Mesa Public Library. 

The film is a stop-motion-animated science fiction comedy.

In the film, dog flu threatens not just dogs but the populace of a town in Japan, and the mayor sends all the town’s dogs to an island.  Atari, a boy searches the island for his dog Spots, with the help of other dogs.

Around The World In White Rock April 3

The public is invited to travel around the world in two hours during the 8th annual Multicultural Fair at Chamisa Elementary School at 5 p.m. April 3.

Presented jointly by Chamisa Elementary and Piñon Elementary Schools, the fair offers attendees the opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity in the local community through dance, music, crafts and food tastings.
