LANL News:

  • Misfit dislocations are key to transport properties across material interfaces

Nanocomposite oxide ceramics have potential uses as ferroelectrics, fast ion conductors, and nuclear fuels and for storing nuclear waste, generating a great deal of scientific interest on the structure, properties, and applications of these blended materials.

SHELTER New:

Jay the long-haired gray and white cat was a little leery of humans when first arriving at the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter, but is quickly warming up to human attention.

He also loves attention from other cats at the shelter. He’s a little sulky because his best friend got adopted and he didn’t. This young guy would make a great playmate to other cats in a household.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here
