Pet of the Week: Jay The Cat

SHELTER New:

Jay the long-haired gray and white cat was a little leery of humans when first arriving at the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter, but is quickly warming up to human attention.

He also loves attention from other cats at the shelter. He’s a little sulky because his best friend got adopted and he didn’t. This young guy would make a great playmate to other cats in a household.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., weekends.
