An outstanding warrant from First Judicial District Court is in effect for one of two men arrested by Los Alamos Police Department in August after they fled from Smith’s Marketplace in a pickup and attempted to run down an LAPD officer.

Helen Milenski told the Los Alamos Daily Post that she has decided to run for a seat on the Los Alamos County Council.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — During a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing Thursday, U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) received a commitment from Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering nominee Dr. Michael Griffin to implement and advance the directed energy weapons program.
 
The $100 million program was established by Heinrich and Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.) under Section 215 of the fiscal year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and is focused on getting directed energy weapons like high-energy-lasers and high-powered-microwaves

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), on behalf of a broad coalition of 25 national Jewish organizations, sent a letter Thursday urging Congress to ensure that a clean Dream Act was included in the must-pass spending bill that Congress.
