SANTA FE New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the independent feature film “Corporate Animals” starring Demi Moore and Ed Helms will begin filming mid-June through early July in Santa Fe and Abiquiu.

FBI: Mescalero Apache Man Pleads Guilty To Assault

ALBUQUERQUE Patrick Moquino, 39, an enrolled member of the Mescalero Apache Nation who resides in Mescalero, pled guilty Wednesday in Federal Court in Las Cruces, to an assault charge.

 

Moquino was arrested July 11, 2017, on a criminal complaint charging him with assaulting a Mescalero Apache man by punching and kicking the victim in the head. Moquino subsequently was indicted Nov. 8, 2017, and charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury. State Law And Court Rule Changes In Guardianship And Conservatorship Cases

SANTA FE Guardians and conservators will be required to submit additional information about a protected person’s finances and health in reports to district courts under new rules and forms approved by the New Mexico Supreme Court.
 
It will be mandatory starting July 1 that guardians and conservators use the forms specified in court procedural rules. Changes in rules and forms were necessary to implement improvements in the adult guardianship system under a new state law that takes effect next month.

SANTA FE ― Santa Fe National Forest (Forest) officials remind everyone that the entire Forest is closed to the general public.

FBI: Police Still Looking For Pinstripe Suit Bandit

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are still looking for a man who wore a gray pinstripe suit May 21, when he robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank.
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, approximately 5’8″ tall, with dark brown hair, a thin mustache, and a skinny build. He wore a gray suit with pinstripes, a white dress shirt, black frame glasses with clear lenses, and black tennis shoes.
