ALBUQUERQUE Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Thursday that convicted sex offender and habitual probation violator Timothy O’Hara is going back to jail.
 
O’Hara was convicted of six counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children by Distribution in 2009, was found guilty of probation violations in 2015, and after he was released from prison in late 2017 Attorney General Balderas charged him with violating his probation yet again for visiting an elementary school, among other violations.

State Museums & Historic Sites Offer Free Admission To Active Duty Military & Their Families This Summer

SANTA FE  Eight state-run museums and Historic Sites under the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) are joining the 2018 launch of Blue Star Museums, the ninth annual collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2018.

SANTA FE – Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) officials urge the public to be prepared and operate safely in wilderness areas.

“Almost every year there are people that require rescue because they weren’t prepared before entering into wilderness areas,” said Diane Prather, Santa Fe National Forest staff officer and Search and Rescue Coordinator. “Individuals were rescued Saturday in a wilderness area because they were lost.  Proper preparation can help hikers avoid the situation and not put rescuers at risk.”
