Ashley Shaw Of Los Alamos Transported From Tennessee To Face Meth Trafficking Charges

Ashley Shaw, 32, of Los Alamos is facing two charges in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of trafficking methamphetamine for allegedly selling .8 grams of the drug in October and .6 grams in January to confidential informants for the Los Alamos Police Department.
 

Court documents indicate that an affidavit for an arrest warrant was filed in March by Det. Ryan Wolking on the grounds that Shaw was a flight risk as Shaw had announced her intention to relocate to Tennessee and because the spreading of methamphetamine poses a danger in the community.

Former Los Alamos residents Aleah Stahl and Elijah Meason were back in First Judicial District Court Monday for arraignments before Judge T. Glenn Ellington on probation violations related to charges filed by New Mexico State University Police and Mesilla Marshal’s Office.

State Police Mourn Loss of Sgt. Thomas Vitale

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of New Mexico State Police Sgt. Thomas Vitale. Sgt. Vitale suffered an unexpected medical incident while on duty Saturday and did not survive.

Sgt. Vitale was a dedicated and hard-working member of the New Mexico State Police family, and he will be sorely missed.

Sgt. Vitale served with the New Mexico State Police for 18 years and was assigned to District 12 in Deming. He also is a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife and three children.

FBI: Rio Rancho Man Sentenced For Conviction On Federal Marijuana Trafficking Charge

ALBUQUERQUE Antonio Ruelas, 32, of Rio Rancho, was sentenced late May 3 in Federal Court in Albuquerque, to 30 months of imprisonment based on his previously entered guilty plea to a marijuana trafficking conspiracy charge. Ruelas will be on supervised release for three years after completing his prison sentence.
